- Select an area that you wish to cover by foot, going door to door. It could be just the houses around you or it could be one side or both sides of your street or it could be half of a small village, which ever you feel comfortable in canvassing
- Print out or write out a card on post card type paper the information concerning your activities. A sample is submitted below but you do not have to use this exact wording. You can use your own wording.
- Go door to door distributing these cards. Do not use up your time talking to people as yet. This is merely a devise to break the ice and inform people in your neighborhood that there is someone campaigning for Obama and you stand for the principals in the platform of CAWII and as much as possible to the platform of Mr. Obama.
- These cards should generate either phone calls or letters to you from supporters in your neighborhood. You can then begin to organize groups of people beginning with two and three to further canvas your neighborhood.
- In the one to two weeks before the election, canvas your selected area door to door. Try to elicit the help of the people who contacted you earlier.
